Be Yourself!

Sorry for the long break between posts! I've been realy busy! Lately I've been thinking about how some people will follow other people's fashion choices and trends, even if they are realy ugly and stupid trends. Not to offend anyone who loves this trend, but a great example of this following and copying is leggings. Every day I see so many people who are wearing the exact same outfit. The tank top, bandeu, leggings, and Doc Martin low boots. I have nothing against thos individual pieces, but I see everyone wearing that exact outfit, and I just think that's boring. I think that fashion  is all about being yourself, and being unique. I just feel that if you blend in like that, you will lose a sense of identity, and that no one will truly know the  real you. My main message in fashion is to be yourself, and be unique!

Over Patterned

While patterns are a great way of keeping an outfit from being blah, you don't want to much pattern. You want to have the right balance of pattern. Just be unique. You have to find the balancce that you feel comfortable with, because the balance is different for everyone. Don't hide behind your clothes! You are beautiful! Don't forget that!

Look Your Age

One important thing to keep in mind as you pick out your outfit is to dress age appropriate. I mean come on ladies, if you're thirty, don't dress like you're still seventeen. Be proud of who you are! You will look more professional and chic if you dress your age. And most importantly be yourself! You are amazing! Don't forget it!

Accessories and Makeup

The topic of today is accessories and makeup. My opinion is that makeup is a form of accessorizing. You can't go overboard though and cover your whole face. Makeup shouldn't change your face, it should just bring out your natural beauty. I like to go with the lighter skin tone colored makeup. A good makeup routine is foundation, cream blush (color depends on skin tone), and pressed powder. Then, for the eyes, a little bit of eyeliner, a good mascara, and some eyeshadow. I myself prefer a dark gold or light bronze. A nice pink lip gloss adds a nice touch to this routine. And as for other accessories, you want to have some sort of color similarity or the outfit outfit colors will clash. Like if you have a floral floral blouse, you  might want to accessorize with a pink or red purse. An example of a bad color combo would be if say you had a red dress with purple purse. If the dress had some sort of purple, go ahead! But if not, don't use that purse.

Designer Craze

Today's topic is designers and to over buying of that one thing. You know who I'm talking about. All those big name brands that's all anyone's talking about or has to have. Those "in" brands that are here one day and gone the next. Some of those brands only have like one popular thing and everyone has. But I mean who want to look exactly like everyone else? Isn't being original and unique the whole point of fashion? Isn't that what it's all about? I'm not saying that you can't like those designers or have that piece. I mean if you like that thing for what it is and not cause everyone else has it then go ahead! Buy it! But if your wardrobe is exactly like every other person your age doesn't that seem a little pointless? I mean what's the point in being just like everyone else? Be bold, be different.
